Who is responsible

The website euavolio.eu belongs to the Agricultural Cooperative of Chania, registered address Chrysopigi, Chania, 73100, Greece, VAT number 096070556. For enquiries about this website or your personal data, contact the Cooperative at info.chaniacoop@gmail.com or +30 2824084188. These are the general contact details published by the beneficiary, not a separate campaign helpdesk.

Data used to operate the website

When you request a page, the server processes technical connection information, including your IP address, request time, requested address, response status and browser information. A referring page may also be included if your browser sends it. The purpose is to deliver the website, diagnose faults and protect it against abuse. The legal basis for this necessary operation and security processing is the controller’s legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. There is no automated decision-making or profiling on the website.

Cookies

No analytics or advertising cookie is set unless you accept audience measurement. If you accept, Google Analytics sets the _ga and _ga_* cookies on this domain to recognise a returning browser; this website asks for them to expire after about 13 months and marks them SameSite=Lax and Secure. Your choice itself is remembered separately, in the first-party eu1144_consent cookie, for up to 180 days: it records the date, the version of this notice and what you agreed to, and contains no identifier. You can change the choice at any time from “Measurement preferences” in the footer — refusing or withdrawing stops the measurement running on the page you are on and deletes the measurement cookies. No advertising cookie is set in any case. WordPress also uses authentication and preference cookies when authorised administrators sign in. Deleting necessary cookies ends the corresponding session or preference.

The pll_language cookie remembers the selected language for up to one year. It stores the language code, not an advertising profile; you can remove it in your browser settings.

Analytics and external services

This website uses Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-VZT3T222K1) to count visits and report how the site is used. It loads only after you accept: before that, and if you refuse, no request is made to Google and no measurement cookie is set. Advertising features are switched off in this website’s configuration — advertising storage, advertising personalisation, Google Signals and the sharing of user data for advertising are all set to denied, the site performs no remarketing, and it is not linked to an advertising account. Some aspects of the measurement are governed by settings in the Google Analytics account rather than by this website, including how long the data is kept, where it is processed and which events are collected automatically; for information about those, contact the Cooperative using the details above. No advertising tags, embedded social feeds, external font service, contact form or newsletter is enabled. Images and fonts are served from this domain. Following an external link or an email link is your choice; the destination service has its own privacy information. Email correspondence is handled through the beneficiary’s published email service. Do not include unnecessary sensitive information in an enquiry.

Access and retention

Technical personnel who operate or secure the website may need access to operational data for those purposes. The active server log is rotated daily and the current configuration retains 14 rotated logs. This describes the live log rotation, not a verified retention period for every backup or for the beneficiary’s email archive. Any separately retained incident record or correspondence requires a purpose and a proportionate retention period. Details concerning a particular enquiry or retained record can be requested from the controller.

Your rights

Depending on the conditions set by the GDPR, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction and portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent, consent may be withdrawn without affecting earlier lawful processing. Contact the Cooperative using the details above. You may also complain to the Hellenic Data Protection Authority at www.dpa.gr or to the supervisory authority in your place of habitual residence or work, or where the alleged infringement occurred.

Updates

This notice describes the current website, including the audience measurement described above. It must be reviewed before enabling a form or another service that changes processing. Last updated: 11 September 2026.

Consumer awareness questionnaire

This section qualifies the statement above that no contact form is enabled. No contact form and no newsletter is enabled. A consumer awareness questionnaire is available on this website. It is open to every visitor.

What it is for. To record what people say about their awareness and perceptions of European organic production and European organic products, so that the campaign can report on its communication activities. The answers are a self-assessment. They are not a test of knowledge and they are not a measurement of the campaign’s effect.

What is stored. Your answers to the questions, the language version you used, the version of the questionnaire, and the date and time of submission. We do not ask for and do not store your name, email address, telephone number or postal address. The website does not store your IP address or the page you came from with your response.

Legal basis. Participation is voluntary and no question requires an answer to leave the page. To the extent the information you provide is personal data, the controller relies on its legitimate interest in evaluating and reporting on the campaign’s communication activities, under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. You can object to that processing using the contact details in this notice.

What is not anonymous. The responses are not linked to an identifier and cannot be traced back to you from the response table. This website’s server log separately records the address of every request made to the site, including the submission, and is kept under the rotation described above. We therefore describe the responses as not identified rather than as anonymous.

Duplicate responses. A cookie is used to avoid inviting you to the questionnaire repeatedly. It is an approximate measure that applies to one browser: it does not identify a person, and it cannot guarantee one response per person.

How long it is kept. Responses are kept for 730 days (about 24 months). This is a setting chosen by the controller, not a period fixed by a contract, and it can be changed. Ask the controller for the period that currently applies to a particular report.

Who can see it. Only signed-in administrators of this website can read responses or export them. Responses are never published, never sent to an analytics service, an advertising network or any other third party, and no automated email is sent about them.

Your rights and who to contact. The controller is the Agricultural Cooperative of Chania, whose contact details are given at the top of this notice. Because the responses carry no identifier, we will normally be unable to find your individual response in order to give you access to it or to erase it. If you contact us promptly after taking part, and can describe your response well enough for us to identify it, we will try to act on your request. The rights and the complaint routes described above apply.
